Art Exhibit Black Girl Blueprint: Captured. Crafted. Colored.
Join us Friday, March 20th at 6pm for an intimate and vibrant exhibition that honors the beauty, softness, humor, and richness of everyday Black girl life. Rather than centering struggle, the show invites viewers into ordinary yet powerful moments — the rituals, relationships, aesthetics, and quiet joys that shape identity and community.
Through mixed media, ceramics, and acrylic paintings, the work explores how Black girls document themselves, design their worlds, and move through daily life with intention and creativity. Each piece acts as both a record and a love letter — capturing what it means to exist, create, and simply be.
Featuring artists Teylor Parks, Ayesha Whitt, and Aretha McKinney, the exhibition blends three distinct perspectives into a shared blueprint — one that is personal, expansive, and rooted in presence.
Together, their work reframes the narrative, reminding audiences that everyday Black girlhood is worthy of documentation, admiration, and celebration.
